AMBUCARE CLINIC is an urgent care clinic/physicians office located at 119 S. Washington St. in Marion, Indiana. AMBUCARE provides general medical care, treatment of minor emergencies and occupational medical services to the people of the Marion/Grant County community. AMBUCARE is staffed by a physician, qualified nurse, and other supportive personnel. AMBUCARE is open from 8 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday and 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday. Laboratory and x-ray facilities are located on-site.
AMBUCARE opened its doors to the Marion/Grant County community on April 7, 1980. It was originally located at 131 N. Washington St., in the former Davis Clinic Building; Marion, Indiana. The late Joseph B. Davis, M.D., F.A.C.S. and John L. Earnest were founders of the clinic. While located at this address, AMBUCARE appreciated moderate growth.
In June of 1987, AMBUCARE moved to its present location at 119 S. Washington St. in downtown Marion. After moving the clinic into a new facility, AMBUCARE appreciated approximately a 10% growth in 1987 and sustained that growth through 1993. In January of 1993, Mr. Earnest purchased the practice/business from Dr. Davis. In 1993, the clinic appreciated a 35% growth in patients and receipts and has generally maintained that volume.
Since 1993, AMBUCARE has added additional services for its occupational clients. This includes orthopedic services and hair drug testing. AMBUCARE continues to provide on site services for business/industry. AMBUCARE also offers other services such as Paternity DNA Testing.
In 2003, Dr. Ravindra Bharadwaj joined the AMBUCARE provider staff. Dr. Ravi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He is currently accepting patients for his private practice by appointment.
On April 1st, 2010, AMBUCARE celebrated its 30th Anniversary of providing Marion/Grant County with Urgent Medical Care, Primary Care, and Occupational Health Care. It has been a great honor and privilege to provide health care services to this community for the last 30 years. AMBUCARE looks forward to another 30 years of treating patients and being a medical provider in this great community.
